Objectives
VIZARD will develop a new
generation video publishing tool. The main objective of VIZARD is to change
the way users deal with video content. A video editor should not be limited
to simple time-line representations, but will have the possibility to
manipulate the inner structure of a video document (video book paradigm) and
work with hyper-video representations to build distributed and personalized
collections. Publishing personalized video content should be as easy as
writing a text document. VIZARD will set a strong focus on usability and
mediate the market from the pro-sumer level by the distribution of a light
edition as shareware product. |

Target Market
A wide spectrum of users will profit from VIZARD. The big advantage of
VIZARD is the easy-to-use application. Main target group are people who are
not experienced in video editing. Since VIZARD is developed for standard
PCs, the equipment of non-professional users should be sufficient for
capturing and editing their home videos by VIZARD. Besides, VIZARD will
also suit professional users since the smart viewing of VIZARD lets them
save time by finding information faster in a video. Also the annotation
capabilities of VIZARD meet profesional requirements. |
